Is everything confidential?
Confidentiality is at the heart of my practice and is central to our work together. It begins from your initial enquiry and continues throughout our work together. The limits to confidentiality will be discussed in detail during your first session but in brief, I would only need to break confidentiality if I was concerned about your safety or that of a child or vulnerable person around you.
As a BACP registered counsellor, I adhere to their ethical framework and discuss my work with a qualified supervisor on a regular basis. This process supports and enhances my work, helping me provide the best possible service to my clients. My supervisor also adheres to the guidelines as set out by the BACP so your confidentiality is maintained.
Where will our sessions take place?
My practice is conveniently located in Didsbury, M20. In person sessions will take place in a lovely, warm and comfortable private space. It is accessible by all forms of public transport, with parking locally. You are welcome to a hot cuppa and water is always available. I also offer remote Zoom sessions for people further afield, which have become increasingly popular and offers flexibility when you need it.
How many sessions will I need?
I offer both short term and long term counselling, depending on your individual needs and goals. For some, a few sessions is all that may be needed, while more complex issues may benefit from a longer more open ended approach. We can discuss this during your initial session.
How long are sessions?
Counselling sessions will last 50 minutes.
How much are session fees?
£60.00 per 50 minute session. Payments are to me made 24 hours in advance of your appointment time.
I offer a free initial 20 minute telephone consultation.
What is your payment and cancellation policy?
Fees are payable on confirmation of booking. I require 48 hours notice of cancellations. Where there is less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation or non attendance, the fee of £60.00 will be payable in full/no refunds will be given.
